I've fished baits down to the s waver 168, I don't love it for the 168 I feel like it's a little too much rod for it, but the s-waver 200 is great on it or anything around that 3oz range with trebles, I've fished baits up to the 8" BBZ-1 floater on it, handled it okay but that's about as heavy as I would go and that's kinda pushing it with this guy, it would be wise to step up to the 806 for the BBZ or anything around 4oz
Some reels may have a lever drag which sometimes has pre-set positions and can be easier to adjust with a fish on
